About the activity

Let’s dive into the most popular and fulfilling experiences in Greece and visit within a day the historical significance of Delos site and the untouched bay of Rhenia island, jumping aboard this ultimate sailing cruise, whether you are in Mykonos, the neighbouring Tinos or on a cruise ship.

Your sailing experience starts once you meet the crew at the sailing yacht (pick-up transfer service is optional and available upon your request, after booking). One of the cruise representatives and crew will greet you and give you an overview of the cruise itinerary and safety information. Then, you will set sail heading to Delos & Rhenia islands, the centre of the Cyclades, located a few miles south-west of Mykonos and south of Tinos!

As you sail, gaze out at the beautiful scenery and the remarkable crystal blue water of the Aegean Sea, chilling out to the tunes of your choice and relaxing as you sunbathe on deck. After approximately 1 hour sailing, the boat will arrive at the untouched island of Rhenia, separated from the sacred island of Delos by just a small strait. Dropped anchor in the idyllic bay surrounded by crystal clear turquoise waters and with a gold sandy beach, indulge yourself in the refreshing sea for swimming and snorkelling by the yacht swimming ladder (pier facilities or tendering ashore are not available).

Lunch on board is ready. It is either a specially made Italian pasta with Greek-flavoured dressing instantly cooked on board and Greek salad, or a local Mediterranean-style buffet and juicy seasonal fruits. A selection of complimentary house wine, beers and soft drinks is also offered.

After approximately 2 hours spent in the untouched islet of Rhenia, the next stop is Delos Island, one of the most important archaeological sites of Greek history, for a Licensed Guided Tour. You will spend about 1.5 hours with a professional English-speaking guide exploring the UNESCO-listed Island of Delos, visiting a major commercial and religious centre of the Mediterranean with its significant monuments and impressive mosaics, such as the Terrace of the Lions, the House of Dionysus and Trident, the Ancient Theatre and the Sanctuary of Apollo. According to mythology, Delos is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, and the sanctuary to both gods serves as the centre of a large Hellenistic city of about 30.000 inhabitants.

Finally, you sail back to Mykonos and say goodbye in the Greek way with a farewell shot drink toast, returning home full of euphoria!
