Voidomatis river passes from the National park of Vikos in Northern Greece. The river is famous for its potable clear water, passing in between the most famous village in mainland Greece called Zagorochoria. You can expect to see from the river the most famous stone bridges, from the early 1900s.
Rafting in Voidomatis can be done in different levels. Generally, the river to descent is quite easy, but at some points, it can be a bit demanding. Duration: 1:30 - 2:00 the descent
- You will meet with your guide on the starting point for the rafting (to be confirmed with the guide depending on the weather conditions).
You will get equipped with all the necessary equipment (neoprene suit, rafting neoprene shoes, vest, helmet and a paddle (on cold winter days you will be provided with gloves and a fleece). All the equipment is sterilized before use.
You will take the mini-bus of the centre and head to Voidomatis shore.
Once you will get informed on a few minutes briefing about what will follow, you will start descending the Voidomatis river for 2 hours approximately.
Afterwards you can visit the monastery of St. Anargyroi to relax, get a snack before returning to the center's base.
