Head out on Icelandic waters in the direction of Puffin Island, and spot humpbacks, minkes, and other whales on the way!
Puffin Island is located just beyond Húsavík Bay, and counts over 100,000 puffin residents every year! In fact, 60% of all the puffins in the world migrate to Iceland, so this is the perfect place to observe them in the wild. Watch from the boat as they nest, dive for fish, and flap their wings in the skies above, flaunting their funky red beaks. During the tour, your guides will share their extensive knowledge of the puffins, including their lifecycle and habitat.
Aboard a sturdy Icelandic wooden boat, you'll discover that Húsavík is also home to Iceland's diverse whale population! These friendly giants surface frequently and you will be able to say hello to them on the way to Puffin Island. Watch out for breaching humpback whales, sleek minke whales, and even orcas!
