Activity description
Head to Húsavík and observe whales aboard a traditional sailing boat! Raise the sails and charter the seas alongside these peaceful marine giants.
Your sailing crew will provide you with all you need for an enjoyable charter: warm overalls, hot drinks, and cinnamon buns will all be at your disposal along the way. You will then head off on your beautiful boat in the direction of Húsavík's whales. Humpbacks, minke, dolphins, and even orcas reside in these waters, so keep your eyes peeled for a fin or tail as you go along.
If the weather permits, the crew will raise the sails and the entire journey will be made on wind power. The crew will invite you to help out, so you can learn to sail an Icelandic sailboat in addition to observing the whales.
