Northern Lights Snowmobile Safari from Kirkenes

You should plan to spend around 2.5 hours on this activity:

• 21:00 - Pick-up at the Thon or Scandic hotels in Kirkenes
• 15 to 20-minute drive to the Snowhotel
• 21:15 - Arrival at the Snowhotel and meeting guests who are staying there and participating in the activity
• Winter and safety equipment distribution and preparation
• Introduction to your instructor
• Safety and activity briefing
• Short snowmobile instruction
• Start of your 2-hour Northern Lights snowmobiling excursion from Kirkenes
• Drive around frozen landscapes
• Drivers can switch places midway through the excursion
• Stops to observe the Northern Lights
• Return to the meeting point
• Equipment return
• 23:15 (approximately) - Return to the Thon or Scanic Hotels and end of activity

Please be advised that all snowmobile drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license (type B). Please bring the physical copy with you to the excursion.

In addition, each child must be at least 10 years old, accompanied by a parent or guardian and measure a minimum of 130 cm (4'2") to be able to participate as a passenger.

This activity is not recommended for people with back or heart problems.

When booking, please indicate to your instructor if you want to be picked up in the Thon or Scandic Hotel, so they can prepare. If you're staying at the Snowhotel, your meeting time will be 15 minutes after the general one.

Since the Northern Lights are an unpredictable natural phenomenon, their presence is never guaranteed.

If you want to drive a snowmobile on your own, you can pay a supplemental fee.

Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity depend on weather conditions. If the cancellation is due to weather conditions, the instructor will try to reschedule the activity. If this is not possible, a full refund will be given.
