Discover the bustling city of Oslo like a local on a private guided bike tour, passing along the beautiful Akerselva River. Welcoming adventurers from ages 13 and up!

Oslo is the capital city of Norway, situated on the country’s southern coast at the head of the Oslo Fjord. The city is renowned for its natural beauty, with vast green spaces and a stunning waterfront. It is also popular for its rich history and thriving culinary scene. On this bike tour, you’ll discover the more unique spots of Oslo with a local guide!

The trip begins at the starting point in Oslo, where you’ll meet the experienced guide. This activity is for private groups of up to 10 people, to allow for a more personalised tour. The guide will provide a safety briefing and the equipment, including a standard bike and helmet. Then, the adventure begins! Following the guide, you’ll start pedalling through the city.

You’ll ride the path along the Akerselva River, a prominent waterway flowing through the heart of Oslo. This picturesque river originates from Maridalsvannet, the largest lake in Oslo, and winds through the city for approximately 8 miles (13 kilometres) before emptying into the Oslo Fjord. You’ll discover the city’s thriving neighbourhoods, passing by striking street art, quirky shops, cafés, and restaurants. The guide will share insights about both the history and modern culture of Norway as you ride.

Then, you’ll stop for a break at the indoor Mathallen market, the heart of Oslo’s food scene. You have the option of trying some local authentic dishes, such as brown cheese. Continuing along the waterfront, you’ll pass by stunning rushing waterfalls, stopping to capture photos in the scenic setting. You’ll cycle past the trendy Grünerløkka neighbourhood, before arriving at the modern Oslo Opera House. Admire the modern architecture of the building and the exciting urban development around it, including Oslo’s newest urban beach. The tour will end back at the starting point in Oslo.

Experience the authentic side of the city and explore charming neighbourhoods and the picturesque Akerselva River on a private bike tour in Oslo!
