The adventure begins when your guide picks you up from your accommodation. Then, depending on the time of year and choice of boat, you will either head off to get your thermal gear, or you will head straight to Longyearbyen Harbour, where you will board your motor boat and set off into the icy water.

The itinerary itself is almost unbelievable, you'll cruise past huge glaciers and icebergs, and enjoy the wide panoramic views over the Arctic Ocean. As you cross the Isfjord, make sure to keep an eye out for other wildlife as well! If luck is on your side, you may spot some of Svalbard's resident birdlife, while on the surface of the water, you may catch a glimpse of the tail of a whale.

On land, these big-tusked mammals flap about comically, but in the water, they transform into the most beautiful animals. Some might come and swim alongside you, showing off their graceful strokes as they do so.
