Course of events
You should plan to spend around 10 hours on this activity:

Activity requirements
Please be advised that snowmobile drivers need to be minimum 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license with them (physical).
To participate in this activity, you need a moderate level of physical fitness. You should be able to sit comfortably for extended periods and have sufficient strength and coordination to operate the snowmobile controls. Additionally, you should be prepared for outdoor weather conditions, which can be harsh and unpredictable during the Arctic winter. Temperatures often drop below freezing, with averages ranging from -10°C to -20°C.
Drivers and passengers must be a minimum 130cm in height to meet the safety requirements.
The maximum weight to participate in this activity is 120 kg.
Special terms
Kindly note that the overall time spent on the snowmobiles differs depending on the snow and weather conditions. Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during some parts of the tour. Keep in mind that each snowmobile has space for 2 people, a driver and a passenger.
Good physical fitness and strength is required for the dog sledding. Although the dogs are well-trained and love to run, teamwork is needed duirng the ride as drivers will have to help and push the sled together with the pack uphill and downhill. The trail can be narrow and have sharp bends, which requires a good balance to steer the sled. The guides are entitled to deny drivers and passengers from joining this tour for health and safety reasons.
If you have any dietary restrictions, please let your instructor know upon booking. If you don't notify the instructor in advance, you will be charged an extra fee.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people.
Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity depend on weather conditions. Due to unforeseen meteorological occurrences, your itinerary might be shorter or take a different path than usual for your safety.

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from the city centre in Tromsø, where you will embark on a 90-minute scenic ride to Camp Tamok, admiring the mesmerising landscapes and white-washed mountains of the Arctic. Upon arrival, you will receive warm winter overalls, hats, mittens, and boots, and follow a safety briefing and a mushing (dog sledding) demonstration with special techniques. Each sled will be shared between two participants, with the opportunity to swap drivers during the experience.
The dogs are well-trained and love to run, but as teamwork is essential, there will be parts of the trip where you will have to help and push the sled together with your pack. You will have the opportunity to switch drivers with your team if you wish. After the tour, you'll relax by the roaring fire, and enjoy a delicious and locally produced warm meal.
Once you've recharged, your guide will share some fascinating stories about the region and give you a safety briefing for your next adventure, your snowmobile ride! Then, it is time to head out and set off for an unforgettable snowmobile safari in the Arctic wilderness!
You will ride through the breathtaking snow-covered mountains, along dramatic landscapes, and scenic valleys! Each snowmobile will be shared between two participants, one driver and one passenger, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. The overall duration of the snowmobile safari depends on the weather and snow conditions of the day. If you are lucky, the phenomenal Northern Lights will appear right above you as you traverse the Arctic trails on your snowmobile.
