Activity description
Spend the day out on the Sommarøy Archipelago exploring the fishing villages and spotting Arctic wildlife!
Your day will begin directly at your accommodation, where your guide will pick you up in their Mercedes V-Class before heading to the island of Kvaløya, 30 minutes away from Tromsø city centre. A mountainous island, Sommarøy boasts stunning natural scenery and a beautiful coastline.
During the day, you will get to visit some of the Sommarøy Archipelago, including some of its cute coastal fishing villages. You will also walk around the wilder parts, keeping an eye out for the archipelago's biodiversity. Kvaløya is home to 2 large reindeer herds which roam freely in the summer, along with the more evasive moose and foxes. Overhead, migratory sea birds roam the skies. As you stroll along the coast, direct your attention to the water, as harbour porpoises and seals may grace you with their presence as well!
Groups remain small with a maximum number of 6 participants, allowing you to go at your own pace and personalise the experience to suit your needs. Book now for a happy day of walking, wildlife observation, and that wild Norwegian culture!
