Went on a large coach bus. The good: the bus was comfortable and it was a good driver. The bad: the bus was so big it was difficult to get anywhere (hard to turn around, hard to park, etc.). When chasing the auroras, mobility is good, as is communication. Our guide did not really tell us where we were going, what was happening, etc. We drove two hours to one locale at the side of a road with at least dark conditions, stopped for a bit, but saw nothing, then drove another two hours to another locale which was a schoolyard with blazing overhead lights (you want darkness to see the auroras). There could have been auroras there and we would not have seen them. The weather was not ideal, but I did another tour the next night with a different company in even worse weather and it was leagues better, and we found an awesome spot with a clearing in the weather and saw some of the best auroras I've seen. Overall, it was a bit of a waste of a night.
