Activity requirements
To ride a snowmobile, you must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Please bring a physical copy of your license to the activity.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will have to sign a liability waiver on their behalf.
All participants must sign a liability waiver before the experience.
This activity is not recommended for people with heart or back problems.
Special terms
Each snowmobile will carry 2 participants: 1 driver and 1 passenger. If both participants have a valid driver's license and are over 18 years old, they can switch places during the tour.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people.
Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity depend on weather conditions. Due to unforeseen meteorological occurrences, your itinerary might be shorter or take a different path than usual for your safety.

You'll dive into the breathtaking Arctic wilderness that surrounds Tromsø and enjoy the thrill of driving over the snow. Along the ride, you'll make a stop to build a bonfire with your instructor and eat a hearty lunch to replenish your strength and warm you up before the next stage of the experience. When you're well fed, you'll head to the authentic Sámi farm and meet the friendly reindeer herder who manages it. They'll tell you all about the reindeer and their relationship with the Sámi people (who are the only indigenous group in Europe), before distributing the reindeer feed and letting you approach the animals yourself. You'll then return to Tromsø with wonderful, lifelong memories of your day spent snowmobiling and with the reindeer.
Keep in mind that Arctic temperatures can range from 5 to -30 degrees Celsius and even lower. This means that, though your instructor will lend you some high-quality winter equipment, you should still come prepared with warm thermal layers, fleece or woollen midlayers, and your own waterproof and windproof jacket and pants for before and after the experience. You should also bring a hat, gloves, a scarf, and anything else you might need (medication, snacks, water, etc.) to spend an amazing 5 to 6 hours on this snowmobile and reindeer feeding experience from Tromsø.
