The Langevin river offers an ideal canyoning course to learn canyoning in Reunion Island, either with family or friends, in a very accessible aquatic environment downstream from the Langevin waterfall. It is a canyon allowing you to do aquatic trekking, while discovering according to your desires the various obstacles which one finds in canyons of higher level, like for example the abseils.

This half-day canyoning discovery trip in Saint-Joseph is made up of a series of small waterfalls, natural slides and jumps in a pool of up to 8 meters, which are never compulsory: you will generally have the choice between jumps, abseiling (12 meters maximum) and the zip line to progress in the Langevin river and vary the pleasures! You will leave downstream from the river at Saint-Joseph, then reach the Langevin waterfall in 2 or 3 hours depending on your pace.

Course of events

- Reception at the meeting point at 8 a.m.

- Drive to the beginning of the course: 20 minutes

- Equipment and briefing: 30 minutes

- Walk to the canyon: 2 minutes

- Descent of the canyon: 2 to 3 hours

- Return walk: 5 minutes

- End of the trip between 12 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Activity requirements

To take part in this activity, you need to be able to swim, have no medical contraindications to canyoning and be in good physical condition.

A minimum number of 2 participants is required for this activity to take place.

This activity is weather-dependent. If the weather does not allow for the activity to take place, we will contact you to reschedule or receive a full refund.
