Canyoning in the Fratarica Gorge in Bovec

Experience the power of water and abseil a nearly 50-meter waterfall in the Fratarica Canyon, in the heart of Triglav National Park! Fratarica stream which flows into the river Koritnica in Log pod Mangartom, is one of the most stunning canyons in the western part of the Slovenian mountains. 

You will discover the raw beauty of the Soča Valley and the true power of white water on this canyoning adventure. The various waterfalls come in all shapes and sizes and on a sunny day, the water adopts gorgeous colours which you will see from up close, swimming in the crystal-clear pools of the Soča  River.
Upon meeting your guide, only a couple of kilometres away from the village of Bovec, you will get all the necessary equipment, including the helmet, harness and everything you need for a safe descent. After a 20-minute ride to the starting point, you will walk through the forest for about 25 to 40 minutes to reach the canyon itself. Before entering the canyon your guide will give you some necessary instructions and safety procedures. 

Now you are ready to begin the adrenaline-filled adventure. Walking down the stream, sliding on slippery slides and abseiling along large waterfalls, you will surely be impressed with what the Fratarica Canyon has to offer. But if that is not enough, the nearly 50-meter Parabola waterfall, which is perfect for abseiling will be the highlight of your experience. 

At the end of your canyoning trip, you will be able to change your wet neoprene in the parking's changing rooms before your guide takes you back to the meeting point. You will also receive the pictures and videos taken throughout the day via Wetransfer.
