The Bolulla canyon, also known as l'Estret de Les Penyes, is the perfect place to enjoy a canyoning excursion in a unique environment. The canyon is located in Callosa de Sarrià, 18 km from Altea, 22 km from Benidorm and 61 km from Alicante.

During the descent of the Bolulla canyon you will practice abseiling, jump into natural pools and slide down slides. Always accompanied by a guide, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an activity full of fun and adrenaline with your friends or family.

A special feature of this canyon is that once you have passed the first abseiling point, which in normal conditions is usually dry, the river is fed by several thermal springs that are scattered throughout the canyon. In total, the Barranc de Bolulla or l'Estret de Les Penyes has 7 abseils, the highest being 17 metres. This canyoning excursion ends with an impressive 25-metre waterfall.

Practical information

Course of events

- Departure from Callosa del Sarriá (Alicante).

- Descent during 2 hours of the Bolulla Ravine or Estret de les Penyes. Descent of 7 rappels of up to 17 metres and swimming in pools.

- Return to the meeting point.

Activity requirements

All participants must me able to swim.

Special terms

This activity is not recommended for people suffering from vertigo or for pregnant women.

Minors must be accompanied by their parents.

Super fun! The abseiling from 25m next to a waterfall was the highlight of the canyoning. The jumps were cool too.

Myself and my two sons 16 and 21 yrs old had a great experience and can only recommend. From climbing down into the canyon, over rocks, plunging into the fresh mountain water water and finishing off absailing down a waterfall. A great and memorable adventure.
