Activity description

Just 30 minutes from the Spanish capital, discover Segovia, a World Heritage Site, where you can visit some of the region's most important monuments.

Travel to Segovia from Madrid by high-speed train at 300 km/h and be impressed by landscapes that you often wouldn't see if you were driving. The city of Segovia is located in the autonomous community of Castilla y León in north-central Spain. This city is known for its famous Roman aqueduct and its Alcázar, the castle where the kings of Castile lived.

On this tour you will be accompanied by professional guides from World Experience who will explain all the information you need to get to know the history of the city. Your adventure will start at Chamartín station in Madrid at 10am, you will travel by train for 30 minutes until you reach Segovia. From the station you will get into a taxi that will take you to the Aqueduct of Segovia from where your guided tour of the city will begin, continuing with a gentle walk along the Senda de los Molinos, a magnificent walk where you will observe the industrial history of the city. You will continue walking through the neighbourhoods of San Lorenzo and San Marcos enjoying a pleasant walk along the river until you reach the viewpoint of San Marcos, a privileged place to contemplate the Alcázar of Segovia. You will take a guided tour of the Alcazar exploring its various rooms, halls and courtyards until you reach the Tower of Juan II, which offers panoramic views of Segovia. To finish your guided tour of Segovia, you will walk through the Jewish Quarter and the Gothic Cathedral, passing through the main square. You will have some free time to enjoy the city on your own before boarding the train back to Madrid.

If you are visiting Madrid you can't leave without visiting Segovia. With this guided tour you will visit one of the most emblematic buildings in Spain, the Alcazar, and a marvel of Roman engineering from the 1st century, the Aqueduct.
