About the activity

This activity will see you straight from your accommodation to the wonderful winter wonderland of Oinakka! Pick-up is provided from Kiruna, and you can also choose to meet your guide directly at their base in Oinakka, just outside of Kiruna, and near the world's original Icehotel.

Once there, you will meet your new furry friends, and get ready to set off on your dog sledding ride in Kiruna. The sled is controlled by an experienced musher, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! The wooden sled is equipped with reindeer fur to keep you nice and warm as you glide through the white old pine tree forests, past frozen lakes and swamps. What better way to experience the magic of the Swedish Lapland?

Along the way, you will make a stop for the dogs to rest and relax by the roaring fire. Warm your fingers around a hot cup of coffee or tea, and taste the traditional Swedish Fika before heading back onto the snow! Your guide will also share some fascinating stories about the region, the Sami culture, and the wildlife in the area.

Then it is time to make your way back to the kennel. Marvel at the captivating white-washed landscapes of the Swedish wilderness, while being pulled by an energetic pack of Alaskan huskies. Once you're back at the kennel, you'll have one last cuddle with your four-legged friends, and leave Kiruna with lifelong memories!

I am glad we booked this activity in Kiruna as it allowed us to enjoy dogsledding without it taking up an entire day. It was such a special experience and the guides and dogs were lovely!

The husky sledding tour was absolutely wonderful. The dogs were very friendly and clearly well cared for, which made the experience even more special. The tea and treats break was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Overall, an unforgettable and highly enjoyable experience.

The tour was amazing,like I had imagined in my best dreams. The dogs were so cute,the organizers were punctual, the leader girl told us about each dog and answered all our questions. You can see that people really love what they do.
