Small village of Corsica, Solenzara inherited the same name as the river which crosses it. It is one of the three villages that are part of the small "côte des Nacres": Solaro in the north, Solenzara in the center, and Conca in the south. About 40 km from Porto-Vecchio, Solenzara is located on the border between Haute-Corse and South Corsica, which is bounded on a small part by the river Solenzara.
