Rethymno: What to do when you get there?

Rethymno is a one of the three municipalities in Crete in the middle, between Chania and Irakleio. The city is famous for the Venetian architecture and the big mountains behind the historical city. It is a very picturesque city with many attractions, museum and of course natural spots to visit. You can reach Rethymno by flying to Chania or Irakleion, or by ferry from Pireaus.

Rethymno is famous for his venetian castle standing in the middle of the city, on its magnificent hill. In front of the sea and port, the castle is astonishing for its views all around the city. The local delicacies will leave you amazed, and with the cretan hospitality you will discover your second home. Rethymno is a rich city in culture and activities!

You can practice many types of sports like mountain biking, or scuba diving to explore the different caves with the most famous being the Elephant cave nearby. You can also go trekking and a bit hiking in the mountains and arrive in the south of the island. Just behind Rethymno you will find Sfakia - the cretan villages full of life!

About Sunset Boat Cruise starting from Rethymno.
This cruise was so fun and the crew was so great. I've been on many sunset cruises and this was one of my favorite. The crew was so attentive, accommodating and fun. Highly recommended no matter was age or country you are from.

About Speed boat safari to the pirate caves from Rethymno Beach.
Super gaaf. Zolang je vaart gaat het lekker snel. Ik had last van zee ziekte tijdens het stil liggen bij het privé strandje waar je een half uur kunt zwemmen. Want dan lig je stil, en dan dobbert de boot. Maar dat mag de pret niet drukken.

About Quad excursion from Rethimno.
You get to ride for hours and it is a lot of fun. You also have 3 stops with lots of "Instagram picture" moments. I highly recommend, bring your girlfriend and have a fun activity day. (you get dirty, and remember to buy a neck gaiter).
