Murillo de Gallego: What to do when you get there ?

This charming little town is located within the Aragonese Pyrenees in a territory that belongs to Hoya de Huesca. It is set in a unique environment with stunning backgrounds of Mallos de Riglos, Peña Rueba behind it and the wild Gallego River flowing through.

Murillo offers a different alternative of tourism in harmony with nature and a large variety of scenery to practice extreme sports.

Mallos de Riglos and Peña Rueba have some of the most emblematic peaks in the area. The summits are perfect for climbing enthusiasts because it has over 150 climbing routes all of different difficulties. Regardless your level of experience you’ll find plenty of paths to climb and unleash your best skills.

The Gallego River is one of the main rivers of the Aragonese Pyrenees. Navigating its white-water rapids give you the opportunity to immerse in a natural challenging setting.
Canoeing, rafting, bodyboarding, canoe-raft ... there are plenty of options for you to descend the rapid channels of the river.

You’ll find yourself in such a picturesque and unique location that demands you to explore on foot or with your mountain bikes the most hidden tracks in the area.
You can trek through really beautiful paths around Murillo, which can take you all the way to Aguero.

Mountain biking tours are equally interesting; you can try out the imposing downhill/uphill rides from mountain of Galliguera or ride up to Mirador de los Buitres.

If it were not enough, Murillo de Gallego has several via ferrata itineraries that are truly exciting. One goes through Peña Rueba and another one is set all the way to the highest peak of Mirador de los Buitres. Both itineraries will give you spectacular views of the town and the Gallego River.
