Exploring wildlife in Plettenberg Bay is a sensory journey shaped by the region’s varied terrain and vibrant ecosystems. Guided marine safaris glide across the bay’s turquoise waters, where visitors may spot pods of bottlenose dolphins, playful Cape fur seals, and, in season, the majestic southern right whale. On land, guided walks wind through the indigenous forests of the Garden Route National Park, where the earthy scent of fynbos mingles with the cool, damp air beneath ancient trees. Birdwatchers are rewarded with sightings of vivid Knysna turacos and elusive kingfishers along the Keurbooms River. Experiences range from tranquil moments—listening to the gentle lapping of waves on secluded beaches—to the thrill of witnessing a breaching whale or a bushbuck emerging at dusk. Routes and durations vary, with options from short interpretive walks to half-day marine excursions, each offering a different perspective on the region’s natural wonders.

Just awesome and I felt all the time recognized and safe. Afterwards I do not understand myself why I had such big fear to jump. Now I’m really one huge step further.
