Some excursions circle the tiny island of Isola Bella, a nature reserve rich in marine life, while others venture towards Capo Taormina, where the coastline opens to sweeping views of the Sicilian landscape. Sessions typically last between one and two hours, offering a balance between gentle paddling and moments of stillness, where you can pause to absorb the colours and textures of the sea and sky. The sensation underfoot is one of stability and connection, as the board responds to your movements and the rhythm of the waves. Een topervaring, lekker actief en verfrissend, het water van de rivier komt rechtstreeks uit de bergen.

Our tour guides went above and beyond. They were very knowledgeable and accommodating (they'll provide alternative routes in case you're worried about jumping into the water). It lasted closer to 7 hours because we were picked up in Taormina at and picked up one more group, stopped in a nice cafe before and after river trekking, and made an extra stop in the park (which was a cool add-on). We were picked up at our hotel around 8:30am and returned around 3pm. There's some climbing involved, but it's very doable for moderately active people. Just wear your bathing suit and bring a change of clothes, a towel, water and snacks - they'll have everything else. If you like adventure this is a must-do!
