Dog sledding in Jondal is a dynamic journey through varied terrain, guided by the rhythm of eager huskies and the subtle cues of your musher. Typical routes wind through birch woods and across snowy meadows, with panoramic views of the glacier’s blue ice and the fjord’s deep waters. Depending on the chosen itinerary, outings can last from one to several hours, offering both short introductory rides and longer expeditions for those seeking a deeper immersion. The sensation of gliding over powdery snow, the cold air tingling on your face, and the steady breath of the dogs create a unique blend of tranquillity and exhilaration. Very enthusiastic guides! That really enjoyed to share their hobby and experience with you. In comparison to previous gletsjer hikes, this was more of a long snow walk/hike instead of ice climbing. However, in the end we also did some blue ice climbing and we definitely enjoyed the views during the hike!!
