Frozen Frontiers

Frozen Frontiers is a local guide company based in Tromsø and Skjervøy, offering small-group RIB boat tours in the Arctic fjords of Northern Norway.

The instructors specialize in winter whale-watching safaris, operating from October to January to coincide with the regional herring migration. This natural phenomenon attracts humpback whales, fin whales, and orcas directly into the coastal fjords. Participants explore the dramatic coastline of Northern Norway in rigid inflatable boats, which provide an intimate and immersive format for marine wildlife observation in their natural habitat!

To ensure safety and comfort in cold conditions, the personnel provides a comprehensive safety briefing before each departure. For departures from Tromsø, the whale watching activity includes a scenic transfer to the launch location, allowing you to reach the active fjords where the whales feed.
