Explore Svalbard's fascinating glaciers inside and out on this fun snowmobiling excursion to an ice cave near Tellbreen!
The adventure begins with a pick-up at your accommodation in the direction of the base, to gear up and discover the snowmobiles. You will be provided with helmets and all the necessary thermal equipment to keep you safe and warm throughout the journey. Then, drivers will be shown the ropes of how to snowmobile, including the hand signals drivers need to learn to ensure a safe journey.
Then, out you will go in the direction of Tellbreen, where you will have a privileged experience inside one of Svalbard's ice caves. The temperature in here is around -3°C (27°F) and, with no natural light penetrating the thick ice walls, the space is dark and mysterious. You and your guide will use your head torches to uncover the magical crystals carved inside the enormous ice masses.
After a good exploration of the cave, it will be time to head back onto the snowmobiles for an exhilarating cruise along Arctic landscapes. Lunch, hot drinks and snacks will be served to fuel you up along the way.
A relatively short expedition, this snowmobiling excursion offers almost every Polar landscape imaginable while remaining within reach for beginners and families. Book now and unleash your inner explorer-geologist!
