Split: What to do when you get there ?
As the second largest city in Croatia, Split has become an extremely popular holiday destination with vacationers from around the world. Its fascinating history goes back over 1,700 years.
Split is situated on the Adriatic Sea, centred on the Ancient Roman Palace of Emperor Diocletian, which was built in the 4th century CE. In 1979, the historic centre of Split was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
However, this historical centre does not just attract sightseers, but also adventure seekers! Contrary to popular belief, there are many outdoor activities in close proximity to Split.
