Ascent of Rosskogel (2,646 m) near Innsbruck, Tyrol

Please allow 6 hours in total for this experience.

• Meet in Oberperfuss near Innsbruck and attend a short introduction (approx. 5 minutes).
• Take the cable car up to Rangger Köpfl and enjoy a gentle start with your first views (approx. 20 minutes).
• Begin the hike towards Rosskogel and follow a moderate ascent through alpine landscapes (approx. 1.5–2 hours).
• Take regular breaks along the way to drink, catch your breath and admire the scenery (throughout the hike).
• Tackle the final ascent to the summit, which is slightly steeper but remains accessible (approx. 30–45 minutes).
• Reach the summit (2,646 m) and take time for photos while enjoying the 360° alpine panorama (approx. 20–30 minutes).
• Start the descent along the same route or a partially alternative path and make your way back at a relaxed pace to the Roßkogelhütte (approx. 2–2.5 hours).
• Stop at the Roßkogelhütte to rest and sample regional specialities (approx. 30–60 minutes, optional).
• Descend back to the valley and take the cable car down for a gentle end to the hike (approx. 20–30 minutes).
• Finish the activity and depart individually (approx. 5 minutes).

To take part in this activity, you need to be able to hike for around 4 and a half hours on a trail with a total ascent of around 600 metres.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

A minimum of 2 participants is required for the activity to take place.

The lift ticket costs 34€ per person but it is free if you have a Welcome Card for the Innsbruck region and surrounding area for more than 3 nights.

A car is recommended for this activity: there is no direct public transport, but the meeting point is still accessible by public transport (bus/train).

This activity is not accessible to people with reduced mobility or mental health problems.
