Course of events

Please allow 4 hours in total for this experience.

Meet at the car park for a brief introduction (approx. 5 minutes)
Head off on the trail towards Ehnbach Gorge (approx. 10 minutes)
Enter the gorge and follow the Ehnbach river: narrow paths, small bridges and dramatic rock faces await (approx. 60–75 minutes)
Frequent short stops along the way: rest, explore nature and get your questions answered
Reach a great spot by the water: kids get to play, hunt for stones and build dams in the stream (approx. 30–45 minutes)
Stop for a break and some well-earned rest (approx. 15 minutes)
Head back out of the gorge via a safe, easy path (approx. 45–60 minutes)
Optional extension: hike up to Kaiser-Max Cave for a fascinating glimpse into the area's natural and cultural history (approx. 30–45 minutes)
Return to the starting point and wrap up (approx. 5 minutes)

About the activity
