Discover the beauty of the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park in a rabaska canoe alongside a park ranger!
A unique means of navigation originally used by the Amerindians to travel on lakes and rivers, the rabaska is an impressive bark canoe (around 10 metres long and 1m30-50 wide) that can accommodate around 10 people on board. Now popular with outdoor enthusiasts, it is a must-try if you want to discover some of Quebec's rivers, including the Rivière Malbaie in the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park!
With your family or friends, this guided rabaska excursion on the Malbaie River will give you the chance to enjoy the experience in the same boat as your loved ones, in the impressive setting of the park with its valleys cut deep into high mountains. The park warden accompanying you will be delighted to explain a whole host of things about this exceptional natural site, one of the core areas of the Charlevoix Biosphere Reserve. What's more, you have a choice: you can take part in this activity during the day (excursion lasting 2.5 hours in total), or at sunset (excursion lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes in total) for a completely different atmosphere!
So if you want to enjoy the superb scenery of the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park in a unique way, don't miss this rabaska excursion on the Malbaie River in Charlevoix!
