Activity requirements
Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before your departure time as indicated in the itinerary.

Your instructor offers a transportation service to the meeting point from Inari, Nellim, Kakslauttanen, Kiilopää and Saariselkä for 20€ per person. If you are interested in booking it, please get in touch with your instructor once your reservation is confirmed to agree on a meeting time and place.
Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity depend on weather conditions. Due to unforeseen meteorological occurrences, your itinerary might be shorter or take a different path than usual for your safety.
Since wildlife is unpredictable, their presence is never guaranteed.
If the weather is expected to be below -25 degrees Celsius on the programmed date and time of your adventure, your instructor will reschedule or cancel the experience.
Thermal suits, boots, and mittens are available to participants on-site, but you should still come prepared with sturdy winter clothing.

You can also hire your instructor's transportation service from Inari, Nellim, Kakslauttanen, Kiilopää and Saariselkä, for 20 euros per person. Once you get there, your instructor will distribute the thermal overalls, boots, and mittens they lend you to keep warm during the experience. Then, it's time to head to the starting point of the experience.
Your instructor will decide whether the weather calls for traditional or modern gliding snowshoes, distribute them and the poles, and teach you exactly how to use them to stay safe and have the best time out in the snow. You'll walk through a snow-covered forest and enjoy learning about local wildlife as your knowledgeable instructor teaches you how to identify animal and bird tracks. You'll make a stop to have some warm drinks and snacks and regain your strength before returning to Ivalo with incredible memories of your day exploring near Inari Lake.
Keep in mind that the temperature in the Arctic can range between 5 and -30 degrees Celsius. If the temperature drops below -25 degrees Celsius, your instructor will reschedule or cancel the activity. If not, you'll need to be prepared for the cold temperatures with wool or thermal under layers, fleece or more wool middle layers, and windproof and waterproof outerwear to protect you. You should also bring a hat, scarf, snow boots, gloves, and anything else you might need (medicine, extra snacks, water, etc.) to spend around 2 hours on this snowshoeing excursion from Ivalo.
