This full-day, guided ice climbing excursion in Korouoma Canyon will be an incredible experience for adventurers ages 12 and up! You'll be picked up at your accommodations in Rovaniemi (please specify your location when booking). Then, with a group of up to 8 people, you will go on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Korouoma Canyon. Once you've arrived, you'll receive your ice climbing equipment, which includes a helmet, a harness, crampons, ice axes, and footwear. Then, you'll depart for the 1-1.5-hour hike around the stunning Arctic landscapes of Finnish Lapland, through an ancient taiga forest, and toward the climbing location at the frozen waterfalls. Don't forget to bring your camera!

After a snack break, the adventure starts! You'll put on your equipment and receive a safety and itinerary briefing, followed by an introduction to ice climbing, ice climbing equipment, and ice climbing techniques. Your expert instructor will double-check your equipment, and then each participant will get to perform 2 proper climbs and reach from 20 to 60 metres (65-196 feet) depending on your physical condition and climbing level.

If the time permits it, on the way back to the vehicle that will drive you back to Rovaniemi, you'll stop for a well-earned snack around a cracking bonfire. It will be the perfect way to end an amazing day ice climbing in Korouoma Canyon!
