The full-day excursion will begin by meeting your experienced guide in Rovaniemi (pickup is available from selective hotels). From there, you will travel to Norvajärvi, a medium-sized lake in the area which freezes over in the winter months. You will suit up for a journey in the wonderful snowy forest. Escorted by your experienced guide, you will walk through the fairytale-like forests in silver-white snow to reach the lake. Then, the adventure begins!

When you arrive at the lake, you will start with the ice fishing activity. Your guide will demonstrate how to operate the equipment and drill a hole in the frozen lake. Drop your line, take a seat, and wait for a bite. The sight of serene, peaceful nature allows you to unwind while taking in the landscape. If you are lucky, you may catch a fish, which the guide will happily prepare and grill for you. After that, a delicious barbeque meal of grilled salmon, bread, marshmallows and hot blueberry juice (vegetarian/vegan alternative available upon request) will be served around an open fire.

After lunch, you will put on a floating survival suit and head for the floating adventure! The guide will help you into the lake. The professional suit will ensure you don't feel the cold, even in 0° waters. As you float peacefully in the water, look up at the sky. As the days are shorter in Lapland during the winter, you might even see the beautiful Northern Lights dancing over you. After your relaxing float, you will return to Rovaniemi.
