Explore the winter wonderland of Rovaniemi's backcountry at night aboard environmentally friendly snowmobiles. Welcoming adventurers from ages 4 and up!
Rovaniemi is the capital city of Lapland, located in northern Finland. This unique region features stunning scenery and diverse landscapes, making it a popular destination for outdoor and nature enthusiasts. Snowmobiling is the perfect way to explore the wilderness of Finnish Lapland!
The trip begins with pick-up from one of the listed locations in Rovaniemi (please specify when booking) or by meeting directly at the starting point. The experienced guide will go through a safety briefing and snowmobile driving lesson. Each snowmobile will be shared between two, with one driver and one passenger and the chance to switch halfway. Beginners and families are welcome, children will sit in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile.
Once you have dressed in your Arctic gear, you will venture through the valleys and woodlands around Rovaniemi by night to seep in the area's spectacular wilderness. Enjoy the ride underneath polar skies and bright stars. The state-of-the-art electric snowmobiles not only allow you to travel through the rugged Arctic wilderness, but actually become one with the surrounding nature. Glide noiselessly through the immaculate snow, and discover the untouched Lappish nature along exclusive routes through the forests.
If you're lucky, the mesmerising Northern Lights will also make an appearance in the sky above you. You will glide over a frozen lake beneath the dance of the Aurora Borealis and admire the peaceful surroundings. Still a relatively new addition to winter sports, electric snowmobiling is an exciting innovation for sustainable sports and travel. Hop on and experience a rare taste of the future of Arctic adrenaline sports, surrounded by the ancient Finnish woodlands! After the excursion, you will return to your pick-up point in Rovaniemi.
This evening snowmobiling excursion is an ideal way to experience the Arctic night and perhaps witness the Northern Lights from Rovaniemi!

Activity requirements
Snowmobile drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license (category B). Please bring the physical copy with you on the day of the activity.
For safety reasons, children will be pulled in a sled driven by the guide's snowmobile.
Passengers must be at least 140cm / 4'9" to sit on the snowmobile. Children over the height restriction are allowed to sit on the snowmobile as a passenger when paying the adult price.
Special terms
This activity is not recommended for pregnant women.
Please be advised that as the Northern Lights are a natural phemonon, their presence can never be guaranteed.
