Located in the Northern region of Finland, Rovaniemi is a captivating destination that offers a combination of Arctic adventures, cultural experiences, and natural beauty. One of the most fun and thrilling ways to enjoy this incredible region is by snowmobiling!
After being picked up at one of the meeting points in Rovaniemi or arriving at the Wild Nordic Finland Safari Centre, you will be greeted by your experienced guide. Once you've put on your gear, which includes thermal overalls, wool socks, boots, gloves, and a helmet, you and your group will receive a safety briefing as well as an introduction to snowmobiling. Please note that all children ages 4-14 will be pulled in a sleigh behind the snowmobile. Then, the adventure begins!
You'll ride through the frozen, snow-capped landscape, taking in the fresh Arctic air at the average speed of 10 km/hour (6 miles/hour). With a total riding time of 30-40 minutes, there will be short stops throughout the tour to admire the scenery and take photos. In addition, since there are 2 adults per snowmobile, you can stop and swap places (providing that both participants have valid driver's licenses and are 18 years old or older).
