This tour begins at the meeting point in Rovaniemi (pickup is available from selective hotels). You will meet your experienced guide, who will drive about 20km away from the city to a beautiful natural lakeside, where there is no light pollution.

Surrounded by the spectacular Arctic landscapes, you will be in the middle of nature with millions of stars above. If you're lucky, the beautiful dance of the Aurora Borealis will appear in the night sky above you. This is a once-in-a-lifetime sight to behold! As you admire the lights, you will warm up around an open fire and a traditional Lappish barbecue meal of pork sausage, Lappish bread, salmon soup, marshmallows and hot blueberry juice (vegetarian/vegan alternative available upon request) will be served. Your guide will share insights about the Northern Lights and its tales and stories. They will also answer any questions you may have about Arctic life in general. After your meal, you will be transported back to Rovaniemi.

Friendly people, good stories, well organized . Enough food and drunk, but only 1 sort of each (1 sausage, 1 sort of bread, 1 soup,etc)

Leider konnten wir die Nordlichter aufgrund der dicken Wolken nicht sehen. Schade, aber wer kann schon fürs Wetter. Trotzdem war es ein sehr schönes Lagerfeuer direkt am See, anschließend ist der Guide noch über eine Stunde mit uns herumgefahren, um eine bessere Stelle zu finden, wo die Wolkendecke dünner ist. Dabei hat er jede Menge Interessantes über Lappland berichtet und gute Tipps gegeben.

L'activité semble super sur papier et dans le descriptif. Attention, le bbq se résume à une saucisse de Francfort à réchauffer avec un pic, un gobelet d'eau chaude avec du sirop de myrtilles industriel et une "soupe" de poisson tout aussi industrielle. Aucun intérêt gustatif et nourricier. Le guide peu bavard ne nous explique même pas où nous nous rendons et si nous souhaitions des informations, il fallait lui tirer les vers du nez.
