Mini Descent of the Besorgues Canyon, Ardèche

Located around 30 minutes’ drive from Aubenas, in Labastide-sur-Bésorgues, this canyoning route is perfect if you’re looking for a short and accessible introduction to canyoning in the Ardèche. The excursion lasts only 1.5 hours and includes no compulsory obstacles. If you’d like to extend the experience, a similar 2.5-hour route in the Besorgues Canyon is also available.

Accessible from the age of 12, this mini descent offers a memorable experience for families or friends in a breathtaking natural setting. As you make your way down the canyon, you’ll explore the Besorgues gorges both from the water and from above. The activity begins with two zip lines measuring 120 and 35 metres respectively. Then, a series of natural slides and jumps follows, leading up to the highlight of the experience: a descent down the largest natural waterslide in the Ardèche (12 metres)!

Organised by experienced canyoning instructors, this excursion ensures a safe and enjoyable experience. Throughout the descent, your guide will support you and provide advice on how to navigate each obstacle. In a short time, you’ll learn the basics of canyoning while enjoying an unforgettable adventure in the Besorgues Canyon.

After the activity, you can make use of the facilities at the Besorgues Canyon Base, including a picnic area, relaxation spaces, and a food area open in July and August.
