Activity description
Get your fill of thrills and fresh air in the Ariège Pyrénées by descending the Artigue canyon near Val-de-Sos!
A high mountain canyon par excellence, the Artigue canyon is a must for canyoning enthusiasts in the Ariège Pyrénées. With its magnificent mountain setting and striking blue-green waters, it offers a superb environment for exercising and spending a great day out in the great outdoors, not far from Foix and Toulouse!
The Artigue canyon features all the key canyoning obstacles: natural slides, jumps up to 10 meters high that can all be bypassed and abseils, the highest of which is 25 meters. All in all, it's a 4 hours descent that will require a good deal of stamina! An instructor will accompany you throughout the Artigue canyon to ensure your safety and help you get over the obstacles.

Canyoning descent of approximately 4 hours
Approach walk: 1 hour
Return walk: 30 minutes
All the jumps are avoidable (you can abseil down them or simply walk around them)
Course of events
- Welcome to the park
- Distribution of equipment and briefing on the activity
- Drive in your own vehicle to the starting point
- One hour approach walk
- Tune up your equipment and begin the descent of the Artigue canyon for around 4 hours, with a lunch break
- 30 minutes return walk, then end of activity and return of equipment
Activity requirements
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.
Knowing how to swim is compulsory for this activity.
A minimum number of 6 participants is required for this activity to take place.
Minors under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
