Activity description
Go to the assault of one of the wildest canyons of the Ariege, the canyon of Subra, for a sporting canyoning session!
Located close to the Spanish border and the Artigue waterfalls, in the heart of the regional natural park of the Ariege Pyrenees, the Subra canyon impresses with its exotic beauty and its succession of waterfalls. Accompanied by an experienced canyoning instructor and equipped with all the necessary material for the descent of the canyon (wetsuit and neoprene socks, adapted shoes, helmet, harness, lanyard, descender and karabiners), you will nevertheless have to remain attentive to your environment: the course of the canyon of Subra requires a good endurance!
If you are a thrill seeker, you will appreciate the de-escalation and abseiling sequences in the Subra canyon which will help you improve your technique. Moreover, you will evolve in a most atypical landscape: you will not have at all the impression to be in Ariege, in the middle of the Pyrenees, but in the middle of an exotic jungle! Between the red schist rocks, the luxuriant vegetation and the famous waterfalls of La Seringue and La Grotte, the nature of the Ariegean Pyrenees will amaze you!

Before leaving for the canyon, your instructor will teach you the rope climbing techniques.
You will have an hour and a half walk to reach the canyon of Subra.
