Surf Lesson at Anse Bonneville Beach in Tartane, near La Trinité

Please allow 1 hour 45 minutes in total for this activity.

• Meet the group at the meeting point in the surf spot car park 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.
• Introduce yourself and equipment check by your instructor.
• Listen to the safety briefing and learn about the surf spot (5 min), understanding the marine environment: wave reading, swimming areas, currents, priority rules, and conditions-specific instructions.
• Take part in a group warm-up specific to surfing, mobilising joints and proprioception (5 min).
• Listen to the technical explanations and practise movements on the beach (10 min), working on board positioning, efficient paddling, and pop-up simulation on land.
• Enter the water session (1h10), applying the exercises on the waves, with Adrien in the water at all times to correct, encourage, and support each participant individually.
• Join the debrief, remove your equipment, and end the activity.

For beginners:

• Learn how to use and control a surfboard.
• Move safely in the water, ensuring safety for yourself and others.
• Learn the basic surfing skills (paddling, popping up on the board, balance).
• Progress at your own pace, whether it’s your first session or a step forward in your learning journey.

For intermediate and advanced surfers:

• Improve technique (turns and wave reading) as well as ocean awareness (positioning in the lineup and wave selection) through video analysis.
• Leave the session with practical, actionable advice to apply in your very next surf session.

You need to be able to swim to take part in this activity.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.

A minimum of 2 participants is required for the activity to take place.

The time and meeting point for this activity are given as a guide and depend on the tide: please contact the instructor once your booking has been confirmed.

There are no facilities at the surf spot, but free public showers and restrooms are available in the neighboring bay, at Anse l'Étang.

This activity is not accessible to people with disabilities, people with mental health problems or pregnant women.

Your personal belongings can be left in the instructor's car if required.
