Reach the summit of the Piton du Canot at an altitude of 526 metres on a guided hike from Chamarel!
Offering an exceptional panorama at its peak, the Piton du Canot hike is a must-do in Mauritius! Departing from Chamarel, follow a local guide who will ensure your safety throughout the ascent, while explaining the history of the peak and its flora and fauna. In total, almost 3.5 hours of hiking to the Piton du Canot awaits you, with a steep uphill section along the way: a good level of fitness is required to take part!
Once you have reached the top of the mountain, you will have time to take in the 360° views of the Black River Gorges National Park, La Tourelle of Tamarin, the Ile aux Bénitiers, Le Morne Brabant mountain and the turquoise lagoon of south-west Mauritius.
