Horse Sleigh Ride and Traditional Arctic Dinner near Alta

This tour takes you out in the backcountry of Alta for a slow-paced, leisurely sleigh ride through the snow. Have a fun time with your friends and family wrapped up in blankets in the back as your own beautiful Norwegian Fjord horse trots along at the front. These sturdy horses have existed in Norway for centuries, and are guaranteed to give you a lovely nature experience up in the Arctic. Your ride will take you through the forest, along the Alta river, and up to a wilderness shelter, sleigh bells jingling all the way.

Once at the wilderness shelter, you will be served a delicious homemade 3-course dinner. Enjoy your appetizers, dinner and dessert around a hot fire, protected from the harsh Arctic Winter within the shelter walls. A more Norwegian experience you could not find! During the meal, your guide will share local stories about Alta and the farm to keep you entertained.
