Svalbard is a remote Arctic archipelago governed by Norway. It is one of the northernmost inhabited regions on Earth, featuring dramatic Arctic landscapes with glaciers, fjords and rugged mountains. On this RIB and hiking trip in Svalbard, you'll visit two stunning natural attractions in the area.

The excursion departs from Longyearbyen, Svalbard's largest and main settlement. The guide will pick you up from your chosen location in Longyearbyen (please specify when booking) and drive you to the departure point. From there, you'll board the open Rigid Inflatable Boat. Safety equipment, including a flotation suit, life vest, shoes, and goggles, will be provided. After a quick safety briefing, the boat tour to Elveneset begins! You'll start sailing along the breathtaking Isfjorden, experiencing the fjord landscape up close.

During the boat tour on Isfjorden, you'll pass steep mountains rising dramatically from the coastline. During the summer months in Svalbard, the cliffs along the fjord come alive with nesting birds such as king eiders, Brünnich’s guillemots, puffins, various gull species, and little auks. You may spot birds and marine species such as seals, whales, or walruses! Then, you'll arrive at Elveneset, a remote coastal headland in Svalbard. You'll have mesmerising views of Templefjorden and Tempelfjellet, the famous "Temple Mountain", with its remarkable layered rock formations.

After admiring the iconic views, you'll prepare for your thrilling hike to Hyperittfossen! With the expert guide, you'll navigate through the Arctic terrain, passing towering mountains and fascinating geological formations. Along the way, the guide will share insights about the archipelago’s unique geology, wildlife, and history. After a moderate hike from Elveneset, you'll arrive at the impressive Hyperittfossen Waterfall. The waterfall is nestled within a long valley system, surrounded by tundra, glaciers and mountains. You'll stop to take in the natural beauty and enjoy a warm lunch, hot drinks and biscuits. Afterwards, you'll depart for your return journey to Longyearbyen.

Immerse yourself in Svalbard's raw and untouched wilderness on this authentic boat tour to Elveneset and hike to Hyperittfossen!
