Activity description
Drive along fjords and mountains in this small-group snowmobile excursion in the Lyngen Alps, and enjoy a hot meal at a panoramic restaurant!
We can pick you up from Tromsø or Svensby, or you can meet us directly at our base in Lyngen situated East of Tromsø. From there, we will equip you with some insulated body suits and helmets, and introduce you to the functionalities of your snowmobile bikes. Don't forget your driver's license, as they are compulsory to participate in the activity.
Once the briefing is completed, we will head out into the Lyngen Alps, skidding through the snow, our guide leading the way. Longer than some other snowmobile trails, our itinerary can take us up to 300 m (330 yards) above sea level, allowing us to take in some great panoramic views over the Arctic. This area has a rich animal life, and you may even be able to spot some of them on the way. Sea eagles, moose, and foxes are all native to these mountainous islets of Northern Norway.
Upon our return, we will serve a yummy homemade meal in our panorama restaurant on the edge of the wharf. Warm up after your brisk odyssey in the mountains and enjoy views over the unique scenery up in Northern Norway!
Our excursions are in small groups. We have 6 snowmobiles, each seating two people maximum. Drivers must be 18 or over and hold a (physical) valid driver's license.
