Course of events
Please allow around 12 hours for the whole experience.
- Early pick-up in front of the entrance of the Scandic Ishavshotel in Tromsø, 15 minutes before departure (paid parking option at Fjellet P-hus (10 minutes walking) or the parking area at Samuel Arnesens Gate 9)
- Transfer by bus (Best Arctic (Arctic Route) bus) to the island of Skjervøy (between 3.5 and 4 hours’ drive)
- Meet your skipper on site,where toilets are available
- Fitting of floating suits, life vests, boots, and protective goggles (hats and mittens available if needed)
- Boarding the RIB boat
- Departure for around 3 hours of whale watching around Skjervøy
- End of the cruise and disembarkation around 1 p.m.
- Break to enjoy a light meal (20 to 30 minutes) before getting back on the minibus
- Return transfer to Tromsø (between 3.5 and 4 hours’ drive) with arrival expected around 5.30 p.m.
