Located on the territory of Saint-Benoît, the Grand-Etang is the largest inland lake on the island. It was created by an ancient lava flow from the Piton de la Fournaise which blocked the flow of water into the valley. This geological jewel is fed by multiple waterfalls and its level can vary. The spectacle on the spot is magnificent because the lake is situated in the middle of a green nature, between ferns and waterfalls.
In the heart of the Réunion National Park, your horse will take you through the undergrowth and near the infinite waterfalls of the Bras d'Annette.
