Activity description

Are you physically fit and experienced in canyoning? Then Fratarica canyon is the adventure for you near Bovec!

In the heart of Slovenia's Triglav National Park, discover the Fratarica canyon. This impressive canyon is about 12 km from Bovec, a 15-minute drive from Bovec to Log pod Mangartom. Thanks to this canyoning activity near Bovec, you'll plunge into the beauty of the Julian Alps and enjoy some thrilling sensations!

The descent of the Fratarica canyon is steep and demanding. Three waterfalls require the use of ropes. For the rest of the route, the use of a rope is recommended. The canyon includes jumps of up to 8 metres and a 49-metre abseil. If you have an adventurous spirit, you'll love canyoning at Fratarica!

During the activity, you'll be accompanied by professional guides who will be there to advise you and ensure your safety. However, it's advisable to have previous canyoning experience, be in good physical condition and over 16 years of age to take part.

Course of events

- Meet & Greet

- Gear up with the necessary equipment, including a wetsuit, canyoning shoes, a helmet, and a harness

- Safety briefing and overview of the canyoning experience

- Transfer to Fratarica Canyon (15 min)

- Hike to the Entry Point (30 min)

- Canyoning Adventure (2.5hrs)

- Return walk to the van (5 min)

- Return to the office

- Debriefing and Farewell

Activity requirements

A minimum number of 2 participants is required to run this activity.

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.

Please arrive 30 minutes before the departure time.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

This activity is not recommended for pregnant people and people with back problems, heart problems or other serious medical conditions and a BMI (Body Mass Index) higher than 30 for women and 40 for men.
