About the activity

Discover the dramatic beauty of Congost de Mont-rebei on a full-day multi-adventure experience combining kayaking and hiking through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Catalonia. This low-difficulty route is perfect for nature lovers looking to immerse themselves in the wild terrain of the Montsec mountain range with minimal effort and maximum reward.

Your adventure begins at the Corçà Nautical Base, just 15 km from Àger, where the Montsec Activa team will welcome you and provide your kayaking gear. The activities are self-guided, but a route map with explanations is provided to help you navigate with ease. Before departure, you’ll also receive detailed instructions on how to use the kayak and the safety rules to follow.

You’ll then paddle 9 km through the turquoise waters of the Mont-rebei Gorge, a stunning canyon carved by the Noguera Ribagorçana River. Towering limestone cliffs, narrow passages, and dramatic rock formations line your route until you reach Seguer Pier, located near the Seguer suspension bridge. The kayak route is direct and without stops, making it easy to follow even for beginners.

At the landing point, staff will be present to explain the hiking route before it begins. From here, the second part of the journey begins: a 5 km hike along the famous rock-carved trail suspended above the gorge. With an elevation gain of 550 meters, this panoramic trek offers incredible photo opportunities and a unique perspective over the canyon. The hiking trails are clearly marked, and once ashore, participants are free to take breaks as they wish, enjoying the spectacular scenery at their own pace.

At the end of your hike, relax aboard the Aqua Bus for a scenic return in boat to the Corçà Nautical Base.

Das Kayak fahren war toll, allerdings konnten wir nicht den gebuchten Weg gehen und da wir eine nicht sehr gute Wegbeschreibung auf Englisch bekamen, haben wir uns verlaufen. Kein Handyempfang, kein Wasser und 40 Grad… das war mit 2 Kindern nicht angenehm. Einem anderen Pärchen, die auch auf Englisch angewiesen wurden, ging es ähnlich.

Kayac de ida y barca para la vuelta, fenomenal. Ascenso a la montaña, no es para todos los públicos, y al hora en la que se hace, no ayuda (mucho calor)

Creo que esta es la mejor forma de disfrutar del Congost ya que lo haces desde todas las perspectivas posibles. La ruta en Kayak es preciosa, la posibilidad de baño se agradece mucho, y la ruta a pie, aunque quizás es algo más exigente de lo que se anunciaba en los detalles de la excursión, merece mucho la pena.
