Embark on a dog sledding northern lights hunt through the old pine forests and frozen lakes of the Swedish Lapland, complemented by local favors! Ideal for families, and groups of friends!
This activity will see you straight from your accommodation to the magical winter wonderland of Oinakka by night! Pick-up is provided from Kiruna, and you can also choose to met your guide directly at their base in Oinakka, just outside of Kiruna, and near the world's original Icehotel.
Once there, you will meet your new furry friends, and get ready to set off into the snow. The sled is controlled by an experienced musher, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! The wooden sled is equipped with reindeer fur to keep you nice and warm as you glide through the white old pine tree forests, past frozen lakes and swamps.
Your guide will follow the direction towards the most optimal spots to see the Northern Lights. Sit back, relax and marvel at the spectacular colors of the auroras lighting up the night sky surrounded by the silence of the polar night!
Along the route, you will make a stop to rest the dogs and enjoy a traditional Swedish Fika by the roaring fire. Warm your fingers around a hot cup of coffee or tea, and take a bite from a Swedish cookie as your guide shares stories about the aurora borealis and the local Sami culture.
With luck, the lights will come out to dance above you, the cherry on top of an already spectacular view of the starry Polar sky! Once you're back at the kennel, it is time to cuddle one last time your four-legged friends, and leave Kiruna with lifelong memories!

- Please wait for your guides at the reception of your accommodation 5 minutes in advance. For those who will arrive at the camp by their own car, please make sure to arrive 10 minutes in advance.
