During the winter, the stunning landscapes, forests and mountains transform into a white wonderland!
This tour starts with pick up from listed accommodations in Kiruna (please specify when booking). You have the option of two different snowshoeing excursions from Kiruna to accommodate all adventurers. The experienced guide will greet you and go through the itinerary for the day. After receiving your equipment (snowshoes, poles, and a headlamp if needed), you will set off on your adventure!
For those looking for a wholesome family hike, opt for the 2.5-hour snowshoeing tour through the forest. During this hike, you will follow animal paths, and learn all about how to survive in the Arctic. Your guide will also share with you the culture up in the top parts of Sweden, for an informative and fun excursion through the snow.
For those who wish for a more physically demanding trail, select the 2.5-hour trail up a mountain. The aim of this excursion is to get above the tree line in order to access views of Swedish nature. From this viewpoint, you'll be able to see the changing light of the Arctic, from the "Kaamos" blue right to the orange sunsets. For both excursions, a hot berry juice will be served midway while you take in the peace and stillness of the area. You will then return to your pick-up point in Kiruna.
