Activity description

Delve into the heart of Ticino's granite landscape and embark on an extreme canyoning adventure in the Pontirone canyon. Nestled deep within the rugged terrain, Pontirone offers a challenging yet breathtaking canyoning experience reminiscent of a journey through a natural cavern. As you traverse the lower stretch of the gorge in Biasca, prepare to be awed by its sheer beauty and formidable obstacles. Often hailed as the "little sister" of the famed Lodrino Canyon, Pontirone captivates adventurers with its magnificent scenery and demanding terrain.

The canyoning begins with thrilling climbing sections amidst massive granite slabs, setting the tone for an adrenaline-fuelled expedition. Your journey will lead you over a towering 40-meter-high waterfall, where you'll navigate using ropes amidst the canyon's deep crevices. Traverse through a spectacular cave-like terrain, tackling tremendous leaps, challenging abseils, and navigating a twisting rocky channel filled with rushing water. The final stretch, shrouded in darkness, adds an extra layer of excitement to the adventure.
