I never expected to have so much fun dog sledding. I thought that it would be just handling the dogs in a small, very controlled area, but you actually get to drive a dog sled in the woods for hours. Going into it, I was also intimidated by what I expected the skills needed to handle a dog sled, but Antoine's instructions were so thorough that I was confident to take control when it was time to hit the trails. Instructions are given in both English and French. It went by too fast, and I am so happy that we did it. The most surprising element was how much interaction you have with the pooches. I though that they may be like service dogs, and human interaction would be limited. But the dogs are all really loving, and if you love dogs, it was so much fun hanging out with them and getting to see their personalities.
